ഡമാസ്കസ്: സിറിയയില്‍ ആഭ്യന്തര സംഘര്‍ഷം രൂക്ഷം. സിറിയന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ബാഷര്‍ അല്‍ അസദിനെ അനുകൂലിക്കുന്നവരും സുരക്ഷാ സേനയുമായുള്ള ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലില്‍ മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം ആയിരം കടന്നു.

ഇതോടെ രാജ്യത്തു നിന്ന് യൂറോപ്പിലേക്ക് പലായനം ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണത്തില്‍ വീണ്ടും വര്‍ധനയുണ്ടാകാനാണ് സാധ്യത തെളിയുന്നത്. നേരത്തെ, അസദ് ഭരണകൂടം നിലംപതിക്കുകയും ഏകാധിപതി രാജ്യം വിട്ടോടുകയും ചെയ്തതോടെ അഭയാര്‍ഥികളില്‍ പലരും സ്വന്തം നാട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയിരുന്നു.

ഇപ്പോള്‍, ന്യൂനപക്ഷമായ അലവി വിഭാഗത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ടവരെ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് കൂടുതല്‍ ആക്രമണങ്ങളും നടക്കുന്നത്. മരിച്ചവരില്‍ 750 ഓളം പേര്‍ സാധാരണക്കാരാണ്. ഇവരെ കൂടാതെ 125 സുരക്ഷാസേനാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. അസദിനെ അനുകൂലിക്കുന്ന സായുധസംഘടനകളിലെ 148 പേരും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതായാണ് വിവരം.

2024 ഡിസംബറില്‍ അസദ് ഭരണകൂടം തകര്‍ന്ന ശേഷം രാജ്യം നേരിട്ട ഏറ്റവും രൂക്ഷമായ അക്രമങ്ങളാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ അരങ്ങേറുന്നത്. സംഘര്‍ഷങ്ങളുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ നിരവധി പേര്‍ ഇതിനോടകം പ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നു പലായനം ചെയ്തതായും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകളുണ്ട്. സിറിയന്‍ ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ ഏകദേശം പത്ത് ശതമാനത്തോളം വരുന്നതാണ് അലവൈറ്റ് വിഭാഗക്കാര്‍. ഷിയ മുസ്ളീങ്ങളിലെ ഉപ വിഭാഗമാണ് അലവൈറ്റുകള്‍.
